STOP THE PRESS: THE ODYSSEY BUILD BEGINS!

If this sign filled you with as much glee, as it did me then you'll be thrilled to hear that the work has officially begun on  the refurbishment of the old Odeon cinema on London Road, in St Albans and if you've visited The Rex in Berkhamstead you'll have an idea of how incredible it's going to look.

Personally I can't wait, I love an arthouse cinema, and intend to document the progress, as James Hannaway and his team bring the glitz and glamour of the big screen to our wonderful city.

Hear my catch up with Jill Taylor here:

Everyone needs a NFF - looks what its done to Victoria Beckham!

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I did a bike ride from London to Southend with a couple we've recently become friends with. My hubby is a personal trainer and is working with the pair of them, and we discovered we all shared a love of cycling, so agreed to join them on an organised bike ride.

Introducing our NFF's - New Fit Friends..

My theory is in your 30's you need to have friends like these, people you do activities with rather than just having dinner together. I may be late the game here, you might already have NFF's, personally it's been various girlfriends who I've done more active things with, and I'm lucky that my other half is an action man.. But this is the way forward.

It was such a fun day, despite getting up at 6.30am on a Sunday morning, when my working week means getting up at 4am.

We'd had a drink at the pub together for the first time a few weeks earlier, and got on like a house on fire, so I knew they were gonna be fun. Our day started with a train ride into London from St Albans and an unknown cycle along the Regents Canal towards Victoria Park our starting point and we were off.

Along the way, we stopped and had a few rests, caught up with each other (my hubby was leading the pack and speeding off) So we re-grouped... and off we went for the next stretch, gossiping along the way, where the roads allowed to ride side by side occasionally the boys would race off, as they do. Along the way, we chatted about how we were feeling and spurred each other along, as the sun shone down and the tiredness started to set in. When we all finished and got ourselves a much deserved beer - we toasted to the 'Next one' and it WAS sincere!

Today I've read the Victoria Beckham's pal has tweeted a picture of Posh, beaming, after the pair of them went hiking in LA. Yes you read right - BEAMING... Vicky knows the benefits of a NFF. They make you feel good for all the right reasons.

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to find yourself a NFF or two  - Let me know Nat x
